HISTORY ---------- Little Fighter 2.5 was started in 2005, to combine characters from Little Fighter 2 and Little Fighter 3 (a popular modification at the time), as well as adding some more characters, some extra backgrounds, and come extra items. Fast forward to '06. After over a year of not working on LF2, I rediscovered it. After seeing that my mod has been downloaded OVER 60,000 TIMES (thanks all!), I decided that I might as well polish it up a little. In making Little Fighters 2.5 version 2.0, I changed my mentality completely. As I wrote in my blog: "When I first made LF 2.5 a year ago, I meant it to be a combination of LF2 and LF3 (a popular mod at the time). However, I have now realized that it is downright stupid to just restrict myself to this, and now I have a new goal in mind - to make this game as fun as I possibly can! If I have to remove some (or maybe even all, in the end) LF3 characters, then so be it." Little Fighters 2.5 is a mod on many levels. As you start the game, even the load screen looks different, thanks to nifty skins provided by Azriel and JackieRabbit. I have added characters, backgrounds, and items. Even the basic strategies are now different, due to the addition of deadly nuclear barrels. All of these modifications serve one purpose only - to make the game more fun! STAGES ---------- Stage 1: A combination of Stage 1 and Stage 2 in the original LF2 Stage 2: A combination of Stage 3 and Stage 4 in the original LF2 Stage 3: Stage 5 in the original LF2 Stage 4: My own medieval stage - fight knights, dragons, and sorcerers! Be warned though: this stage is very difficult!! Stage 5: My own 1-vs-1 / 2-vs-2 practice stage ---------- VII. SKINS ---------- The LF2.5 skin is a composite of several skins, including: - LF2 NS Skin (Evil Sonidow) - Unnamed (Azriel) - LF2-XP (Mega Team) - LF2-Cool (Unknown) --------------- VIII. EXE HACKS --------------- Even the very core of the LF2 v1.9 exe file has been hacked for this mod! Changes include: - The copyright text has been changed (RaMMicHaeL) - Maximize button (RaMMicHaeL) - Customized icon (RaMMicHael) - All characters can be accessed without cheats (RaMMicHaeL) - F6, F7, F8, F9 cheats can be used in Stage Mode (RaMMicHaeL) - Unlimited armor in Battle Mode (Silva) - Unlimited units in Battle Mode (Silva) ----------------- IX. NETWORK GAMES ----------------- If you are unable to connect to someone's computer for a Network Game, odds are that the person you are connecting to has a router. To fix this problem, the person you are connecting to has to "forward the router". A full description of this method can be found here: www.lf2.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1727 . An easy way to check if you have a router is to check your IP. Open LF2.5 and go to Network Game. If your IP starts with 192.168 then you have a router. If you have any questions, you can ask Fire and Ice: www.lf2.net/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=101 . He is the world's leading expert on LF2 port forwarding! :p --------- X. COMBOS --------- (D - defend, J - jump, A - attack, ^/>/V - up/side/down) DJ is the universal combo for shooting a gun. All characters can use this combo. For combos for LF2 characters, see the lf2_manual.txt file. Louis's DJA combo has been removed. For combos for LF2 CE characters, see the ce_manual.txt file. However, Woody's DJ and Rudolf's DJ combos have been removed, because they interfered with the universal DJ combo (see above). Combos (and additional information) for all other characters follow: ------- BanditZ ------- MOVES: None ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: - BanditZ has no special moves, but his powerful shield can stop nearly all ranged attacks. - BanditZ automatically destroys all heavy objects that he walks into - watch out for explosive crates! - BanditZ automatically frees all criminals he walks into. ------------ DragonKnight ------------ MOVES: Fly (0mp) J J J J ... All of these moves were discovered by myself. - DragonKnight originally had a D > A attack, but I had to take it out, on account of space. - Because the knight is on top of the dragon, normal attacks can't hit him, though jump attacks can. - The knight's shield blocks many, but not all, special attacks. You will have to experiment to find ways of hitting him! --------- DarkBatEX --------- MOVES: D>A (50mp) D>J (60+15+15...mp) D^J (150mp) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: - The author didn't name these moves. - Pressing J takes DarkBatEX into flying mode. Pressing D while in flying mode takes DarkBatEX back to the ground. Pressing J while in flying mode increases DarkBatEX's speed. -------- Stickman -------- MOVES: Burning Foot: (???mp) D ^ J Enter Soul: (???mp) D > J Freezing Uppercut (???mp) D ^ A Pheonix Palm (???mp) D > A Fly (0mp) J J J J ... ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: - The author didn't state the mana cost for any of these moves. ---- Tera ---- MOVES: Earth Egg -- Damage 60 -- MP Cost 200 -- Key combination: D ^ A Draws random soil and stones from the ground and combines them into a huge boulder. The sudden increase of weight makes Tera drop the stone right away though (yeah right, sloppy code :x) Magma Rock -- Damage 80 (rock), 60 (flames), 85 (explosion) -- MP Cost 200 -- Key combination: D ^ J Manipulating the more potent powers of earth deep down near the center of the planet, Tera can create a rock virtually consisting of solid fire. Too bad that it is too hot to hold for even Tera, so he has to throw it far, far away as soon as he gets rock done (yeah right, sloppy code). You see, just dropping it wouldn't be wise - the air currents make the rock sprout flames, and put too much pressure on it and it will explode. Earthquake -- Damage 5 -- MP Cost 60 -- Key combination: D v A A sharp punch on the ground, and it will crumble like a wooden house. The thrusts of the quake throw opponents and objects far up high, though don't deal much damage. Lava Stream -- Damage 20 (each) -- MP Cost 70 -- Key combination: D v J An even sharpen punch, and the ground does not crumble anymore, but instead a flow of lava will stream from the hole that reaches the very depths of the planet itself, quickly burning itself out, often taking down many opponents with it. Inner Sun -- Damage 60 (flames), 85 (explosion) -- MP Cost 300 (+16...) -5HP -- Key combination: D J A (D to stop) The ultimate magma-attack calls upon the inner heat power of both the planet and Tera himself, literally turning Tera into a small sun. This begins with a powerful explosion and continues to sprout solar flames into just about every direction. Terra Nemesis (SECRET HELL MOVE) This (so far) theoretical move summons the power of the entire solar system, raining down the very being of the surrounding planets on your opponents. It is supposed that this move is conducted from the Inner Sun technique. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: - The Terra Nemesis key combination has been discovered. However, this takes as much mana as it takes to get into repel mode. - When you fall, you automatically go back to normal mode. - Volt cannot free criminals in normal mode, only in repel mode or by using >>A or >>JA. - The author has revealed that his favorite Volt combo is: AA+D>J+D+C+A+.
